One of the perks of being self-employed is the dress code… or lack thereof. Sure, some clients get a little weirded out by my lack of ‘business attire’, but hey, if your wife requests you don’t trim your beard for a few months how can you argue? When was the last time you heard someones’ wife actually say that?
While I wasn’t looking the seasons changed.
I’ve been working like mad over the past few months (hence my lack of updates) on a wide variety of projects. From project oversight of custom e-commerce applications to print media to re-branding existing identities –it’s kind of ridiculous. I haven’t touched my camera much over the past few months but I plan to make it a point to walk around, have a cigar, and take at least semi-interesting shots…. just because I want to.

The Last Thing I Remember
A friend asked me how this piece was made. It’s an odd question, as it’s tough to know how to respond. 3d modeling uses lingo, processes and terminology that doesn’t have anything to do with.. well, anything else. I decided the best way to respond was with a ‘grand plan’ overview of what it took to do the piece. Sure, from an outsider perspective there’s a bit of language that doesn’t seem to make sense, but largely I think it is a reasonable summation of 20 hours of work.
So.. here we go.

Propaganda!
Been working on a website that is quite different from what I usually do. I was inspired by some old propaganda posters to so something different. It’s kinda of refreshing working in a style that I have never, ever done anything close to before.
I’ve been hitting a few different avenues pretty hard lately. Corporate branding, Web, and photography. It’s damn refreshing being able to work on something for a few hours, get a little burnt out, then be able to change gears over into something else for a while. One of these days I’m even going to update my own website to reflect work that i have been doing over the past few months –it’ll be crazy.
